Founder and Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer- Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH)

Moataz Al Alfi is the founder of Egypt Kuwait Holding (EKH), one of the largest private equity and venture capital firms in Egypt. It focuses on strategic sectors such as utilities and infrastructure, fertilizers, petrochemicals, and natural gas. Al Alfi was also the founding president of Americana Group–Egypt, the largest food conglomerate in the Middle East.

Al Alfi has been active in public, social, and philanthropic spheres for more than 30 years and is considered a pioneer in the human development field. He ascribes to the firm belief that development can only be realized through investment in human education and potential and works tirelessly to create opportunities for promising Egyptian youth. He has founded and currently holds leadership posts in several non-profit NGOs in education, health care, and community development. He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the American University in Cairo (AUC) and as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Magdi Yacoub Foundation, which provides free world-class cardiovascular medical services to the underprivileged in Egypt and throughout the region. In his capacity as Vice Chairman of the Professional Development Foundation (PDF), one of the largest social foundations in the Arab world, Al Alfi has contributed to the development of over 1,500 professionals in leading executive positions in both the public and private sectors. He also founded the Egyptian Franchise Development Association, which educates potential entrepreneurs and helps them acquire and expand local and global brand franchises.
His firm belief in the importance of human development led him to establish Al Alfi Foundation to help discover future leaders among Egyptian youth through education and training. To date, he has contributed to providing 110,000 fresh graduates with qualifications and employment assistance.
