Message from Our Founder

My devotion to philanthropy has always been a fundamental part of my identity. Working to improve human welfare is a basic tenet of my culture, my religion, and foremost, the moral code impressed on me by my family. Caring for the less fortunate is a principle in all religions and one of the most valuable teachings of Islam as expressed in the Quran in Surat Al Baqara 261: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”

For generations, Al Alfi family has been a committed and valuable contributor to diverse charitable activities. Since the early 1900s, we have been significantly engaged in developing El- Sharkeyya, our home governorate, building and outfitting high-quality educational institutions, hospitals, training centers, advocacy and service centers, as well as houses of worship for the local communities. Many of these institutions are still supported and maintained by Al Alfi family.

To continue the family tradition, I established Al Alfi Foundation as a non-profit organization to leverage my private resources for the benefit of society. With my family’s history of long-standing philanthropic commitment to community service as my inspiration, my aim is to make a positive difference in the world around me. I believe that there are many formulas for success, but it can never be gratifying if we don’t give back to society. This is the example I try to set for young people striving to succeed in the business world today.

This Foundation was established not only to honor and maintain the legacy of my family, but also to encourage the younger generations to follow the same path. I share my family’s belief that a nation’s best asset is its human capital. This is why I choose to focus Al Alfi Foundation activities on human development through education, leadership, and entrepreneurship programs.
